When Heaven opens up

Quite a fancy heading for an article no? Im sure most of you would agree on that one.But then i'm sure most would have been puzzled on the very heading itself. Well that is exactly what provoked into writing this article in itself. Heaven, quite a fancy term man made where the noble gets to reside when he meets the deadline of mortality and sets his step to the next dimension in the after life. Don't know if anything such as heaven- an ethereal plot ever exists but one thing is sure, everything is man made. Inclusive of these fancy term heaven.

Of course one could always argue with if they are extremely religious, and i wont put them to a judgement call already. But all you have to do is simply practice the idea of questioning things. After all real time facts don't change if they are real as anyone would think or claim it as. But lets get practical, people like me, who simply believe in what we see and are willing to accept things as long as there is an existing proof would only guess one thing when u recall the phrase "When Heaven opens up".It simply refers to the point when the scientific phenomenon occurs in the atmosphere with the help of condesation which in turn leads to rain.

But as for the typical religious people are concerned, as most of the population is comprised of, they would simply think as a connection to the next world where noble ones reach for their good and purity.I bet its a dream for most of the people who devoted their lives for the sake of the divine spirits always aim for that spot up there.

Whether think it as a scientific phenomenon or as a divine thought in the end it leads to one conclusion that good is brought about and purity is sent down to earth. Of course this is none other than the rainfall. The brilliance which never failed most of the times over years way before than homo-sapiens came into existence.Good and pure(though some would call it as acidic water) in its form bringing the smile in any face in its very presence itself. Mother like when it brings life and an eternal elixir which people never appreciated for what it has done for all these years. Perhaps this is one place where religion and science would accept and agree for its divinity is unquestionable.

Quite a cheeky phrase now don't u think? The way how a human mind thinks... Of course i wont say that this is what generally people think of. But the majority of us would do so.

End of the road for Lee???

Brett Lee is not the same old fiery thing like he used to be back on his young days. With frequent injuries adding up to his list, the speedster might have to think of his test career in order to save the best of himself for the One day Internationals and Twenty20. This is will be a great loss to the cricketing world ,if he does sign's off from the Test cricket, after the England All-Rounder Andrew Flintoff met the same fate earlier this year with the conclusion of Ashes Series.Maybe its high time lee changed his bowling style to extend his period in test cricket.... Time will tell...

UnDisputed Saga 2?

Many would have had their hopes of F1 championship alive when the man in red uttered the word that he is retiring for good, but none would have dreamt of that man returning back in order to show the young guns how it is to be done with perfection. At the age of 41, Michael Schumacher makes his comeback from retirement, but time not for the scarlet Ferrai but for the cash rich Mercedes GP. His neck injury seems to have healed now and he is all set to script out history yet again for the he is the all time greats in the motorsport history.

Lost with time n politics?

Irfan does look all cheery n blossom up in the pose. Not sure if that's the case in his real-time life.Ever since he lost his place in the ODI squad things haven't been going too well for him. Many have raised questions on why Irfan Pathan was not picked up in the recent test squad against Sri Lanka when lesser bowlers like Sreenath gets a shot to play. If you think he was cheated on this single occasion you must be totally out of your mind. I wasnt aware how and ever since when Munaf Patel or RP Singh turned out to be a better swing bowler than he could. Not to mention Nehra, who is one of the all time worst fielder and couldn't held on to an easy catch. Same can be said for his elder bro, Yusaf Pathan who showed great promise in IPL but failed to make a statement for nearly 2 years in a row which was also a reason why Irfan was ignored big time. But now its gone too far... High time, the BCCI took notice of talent when they actually see one, for he can not only bowl well but can also come good with the bat.

Alonso leaves Renault yet again....

Not sure if its true but Fernando Alonso has been choosen to race for the Ferrari Team starting from next year in place of Kimi Raikkonen. Not sure if it was Kimi's decision or Ferrari official decision from within, but Kimi will not race for Ferrari which happens to be a year well before the contract. As for Alonso, he already had tough times with McLaren after which he came back to Renault. Lets hope he doesn't get upset for the second time in a row.

Aussies emerge victorious

Mighty Aussies back to track in winning ways. With a lesser performance in T20 and a heart breaking defeat in the legendary event called Ashes, Ricky Ponting once again proved why he is a defining factor in the world ranks for captaincy. Nothing seemed to stop the jaggeraut once it got set since the ODI series against England.Since then there was no looking back at the ruins. He had to prove the world that despite losing his veteran players owing to retirement, the class of Australian cricket was, is and always will be uncomparable against the world. Champions Trophy was the statement to prove. With a couple of experienced players like himself, M. Hussey and B.Lee leading each department in the field he showed what he can do with young guns on the rise.Maybe this is yet another team which can dominate the cricketing world for another decade in concurrent session.

Brilliance of Maestro in Vain

The man above in that pic is Sachin Tendulkar. A man who knows and redefined the very game he plays. Role-model for any rising cricketing star, the only person who can ever be compared to the all time greats Sir Don Bradman,a walking legend who crossed 17K run mark ever in the history of cricket and a sole survivor of the game for the past 2 decades from the late 80's to the present year. The above lines, my good friends if u haven't heard bout the game is no bad joke. Its a remarkable feet n he deserves many laurels than anyone for he dedicated more than half of his life time for the game which only shows the remarkable passion and the reflexive skills of this man. Had any other nation produced such a great in their time, i bet they would have taken the World Trophy throughtout his time, but then the scale of balance goes offside if the best goes to the best alone. So what happens then??? Simple as it comes.... The best goes into the remaining of the worst of course.

Harsh isnt it??? You wont think its harsh when you disappoint a man of his caliber when the required landmark is almost well within reach.Yet another worthless show from the remaining members of the team, even though Sachin single handedly demoralized the entire Australian attack with performance which surpassed his previous best against the World Champions. Even though some of the odd exception might deny the fact that it can be yet another odd day where Mahi n Co. failed with young Raina playing the lone hand with tendulkar apart from sehwag. The bowlers disappointed as usual after the first time successful opening fire power in the Aussie camp.Eventually a careless performance from a side which does not have the least possibility to deserve the all time great ,who till the date remains undisputed.

Off Spin

The Off spin miracle and one of the all time greats in the art of spin bowling is having a tough time with the ball after he ran outta options against the recent concluded series after India thumped the Lankan side by 2-0 in three matches. The off spin wizard hinted about his retirement(in test cricket) if this carries on, earlier in the middle of the test series.Could this be the end of the legend who worked wonders with the ball?? On the other hand Lanka dropped down from their 2nd spot to third after the series defeat, while India moved up to the top slot after a great run in the recent past in test matches.

Champion's Trophy ascends

Champions trophy jumps up with just a few months from World T20. Maybe its about time ICC gave the playing XI inclusive of the other extra 4-5 players should be rested for some time before they commence with the next big tournament in mind. The matches will be played in all international venues in South Africa which often produces uneven bounce and pace in the pitch which makes the batsmen lives miserable and bowlers who can bowl sensibly, a paradise.Considering this as the host team's backyard, and their success ratio sky high along with the tag of World Number 1 ODI squad they can prove to be a formidable opponent than the others.

Master Blaster rises up for the occasion

Master batsman Sachin Tendulkar's consistent performance in the concluded tri-series between India, New-Zealand & Sri-Lanka, made the chances for the upcoming Champions trophy even brighter than what it was.No doubt, the maestro's brilliance can be questioned by anyone in the cricket world, but gaining confidence means that the odds to favour team India to lift the Champion's trophy gets a step or 2 closer than what it was expected to be.

Sachin made his presence felt after he scored his 44th century with a strike rate more than a hundred for almost the entire game right from the beginning which not only shows why the man's talent can never be questioned and will remain the phenom of this very commercial game with him as its brand ambassdor.

Fisichella switches to Ferrari for 2009

It's green to go, for red. Doesn't make sense right? But it makes a lot when you look up and recognize that racer who raced for Force India.Fisichella ,the man above in the pic with the trophy, will race for Ferrari(red) for the rest of the season in 2009 , after Force India's owner Vijay-Mallya mentioned that he would not stand in the way of his driver, after all it's a dream of every Italian racer to drive for Ferrari.

As for the Massa whose place will now be filled by Fisichella, he is recovering in a good rate and will be available for race from 2010. Ferrari seeks to get some of its glory back with hardly five races left in this season, in order to make a comeback next year by ending the current in winning ways.

Black Caps upsets the Lankans

Black caps(New Zealand) made their statement on friday with the conclusion of the T20 series by clean sweeping the series 2-0. Daniel Vettori was a pleased man at the end of the day when his team posted a strong total of 170 and struck them hard with ball right from the beginning. In fact it was clinical performance that one might think that the hosts were not just beaten, but defeated with all departments of the game.

And there's more to enjoy about in the New Zealand camp because not only Brendon McCullum fired up, but one of the most renowned fast bowler Shane Bond made sure his presence was felt on Friday after taking 3 wickets in 4 overs which is quite a brilliant performance for T20(a short format game of cricket).

With the Tri-Series in short duration upnext, the hosts(Sri-Lankans) must have to reconsider their strategies in order to live upto the expectations of the home crowd.

Next Stop ICC Champions Trophy...

With the dismal performances, from the likes of the cricket biggies can we expect the Champions trophy as a chance to prove the critics were wrong and that T20 format is just a matter of luck and timing? Fingers are crossed for the big guns who are rearing to go in the pitch & the masters of swing and spin are ready to cast their magic spells yet again.

Team India out of T20

Now how many of us saw this match on sunday with high hopes and expectations thinking that team India would win this match hands down after a surprising defeat from the West-Indies. Yes most of us would have thought that India will not take things lightly after the downfall from the carribeans. But then, a bad selection in the playing eleven and bingooo... we have a lose and a free exit pass from the tournament that we won in the previous edition.

Most of us could have thought that Jadeja was the only solo reason we lost for yesterday's match, but then lets not take things to harsh on the guy, after all he was picked in for the match not without a worthy reason. It was only a matter of bad timing and those days were a player cannot meet the teams expectations. We did witness the top order disappointing yet again for the second time after being tested by the lesser teams who can only rarely disappoint a big team. But on the contrary, team India did struggle with bangladesh too before Yuvraj started whipping out hard with the bat to bring them to a commanding state.

And then we had Ireland... where we had only to relax ourselves without straining ourselves much and only had a chance to get ourselves more rusty. The big ones comes only when we enter the Super 8's, so it would only surprise anyone with a decent head that they won the match without any trouble. And they did struggle a lot against a decent pace attack both with the West Indies and England.

And finally it does puzzle us a lot when we see Jadeja in the playing eleven when we have Dinesh Karthik for a pick. He did perform well in IPL, and interestingly noteable that jadeja's stats are far lesser when compared to Dinesh Karthik or Irfan Pathan. Even the commentators were passing negative comments on the guy cause of the momentum shift when he only managed to score 25 off 35 deliveries in a T20 match, which is far beyond acceptance level. Especially when your pressuring not just urself but an entire nation's expectation and patience levels.(I personally was kicking myself when i saw him, trying real hard to score against Stuart Broad).

But then we have culprits in the form of R.Sharma and S.Raina who failed to impress. Captain Marvel who has to be blamed for tampering the number three slot cause he constantly changed the order with himself and Raina. And not to mention the mass media who sought out a bad time to take a closer look at the Indian camp of unity testing and relationships.(Could have shut themselves from writing anything like these which only screws the team moral, but then they sell it out like most, cause its worth the green and for filling up the pages)

Right to vote no longer a "Right"??

Well its bout a month since we had our central government elections here at India. Sure one party loses and one party wins. This is like a coin-toss of course, but then nevertheless we have one common issue that has yet to be answered. The question of the public of course, the voice of every major\eligibile voter in this country-" Do we have anything called the Right to Vote?"

Well we could have seen flashy advertisements in the TV, flashy banners on ur streets, huge cutouts over the years, but then have we ever given a thought bout the individual? I mean , how many times have we come across the voting percentage lesser than 50??? This is not something new to us, but then we rarely care who wins cause at times it doesnt make any changes whoever wins cause "Most of the times we loose".

Yes like our heading here says, the right to vote no longer a right here supposed to mean for the majority of the people who hesitates to cast their vote.If the odds are true the majority of the people who doesnt vote happens to be the educated ones. Not sure myself, but then i simply go with the rumours for now.Yes and if they dont bother to cast their vote which by all means happens to be the majority(50+) then how does the election commision possibly think that a party has legally won? "Not sure if they only take the vote casted into consideration, but then if the majority doesnt believe in any of the contenders of the election then why bother conducting an election itself? " .

Neither do this majority of the people bother to raise their voice against the dislikes or dilemma's nor does the officials take things into consideration. Does that mean that our right has been violated here? or is it simply a raw deal that we can either take it or leave ? Time will tell....

Immortality achieved??

Does this man achieved immortality in the long run? I mean he's dead no doubt but is this legend the only performer and a show stopper who can never be outperformed for centuries in the world of MUSIC, with the harassment of being a black which ended up in mutilating his face once and for all??

1 "M"an "S"tands tall in ruins!!!!

Will he be the only legend for the Formula 1 after the number of controversies we seen ever since his retirement including the continued changes in rules which of course brought the end to Micheal's reign of domination in F1. Apart from that we have seen Alonso who was expected to take Schumi's domination losing the sheen once he joined McLaren team. Lately the Briton sensation Hamilton doesnt seem to be quite effective with the changes made by the FIA.

Of course the chance of winning a race is now totally unbiased no doubt with regulations in engine and wings and all that extravegent motor stuff, but then top teams like Ferrai, BMW are planning to pull out of the FIA if they fail to make changes with the rules yet again. One would think that this might be the beginning of the end of Formula 1 at this level.

With things going out of hands, Micheal's record is all set and bricked up real strong and he will be the undisputed champion role-model and an inpiration for many young racing drivers for the years to come.

EYES OF COMMITMENT

Time and again MSD has proved why he is worthy of being a captain or a top ODI batsmen for weeks. Captain Marvel might have not made an impression at the T20 world cup but he sets milestone's , which any Indian captain would have only dreamt of doing in the past or maybe in the future too. Inspite of the dismal performance by the players of team India at the 2 nd ODI in front of the West Indies crowd, he managed to hold his nerves and showed clear temperment and determination to stay and make atleast a statement before he fell as the last man by the end of the innings. Not just that, he made sure the tournament was won by the team, after 4th ODI was called off and the previous match which was barely won by a ball in the end.

While Mahi's spot remains undisputed in the Indian order, people must have to think that players like Rohit Sharma, Yusuf Pathan are even worthy of their places in the playing eleven.Yes we can spot the talent( in Rohit) when played with lesser teams and Yusuf big shots once in a hundred times, but can we take that as a justification for these people? Dinesh Karthik's place for the playing eleven in world T20 cup still even remains clouded who clearly performed well in both IPL and in West Indies. High time for people to realize that a lots of playing talent is wasted from the likes of certain jerks who takes their places for granted.

Five in a Row

Its five in a row as Chennai super kings surpassed their previous success ratio in a row of 4 victories in the IPL season 1. With a dashing win against the Kings XI, chennai seen to that they made sure they extend their winning streak by beating the defending champions, the Rajasthan Royals once again in this season in an Low Scoring game.

Winning the toss, Shane Warne decided to bat first , pointing out that chennai were not good chasers. On the other hand MSD, returned Warne's compliments saying that they are in pressure to post a huge total considering the fact that his team were a strong batting unit from the rest of the teams, with an form Hayden, Raina and himself in the cards. From there starts the mind games of the 2 captains.

Its not just bout the cricketing strength , but the score settlement that chennai were longing for since the last season especially after losing all 3 matches to the royals, particularly in the finals were the royals sneaked past the totals in the final over of the game.

And so the game started with Morkel giving the early break through the team needed for this whole season. Now given that their opening combo was out smarted royals were sent into a defensive mode and scored really at a low rate at the first 6 overs. However the point to notice here is that the royals preserved wickets in order to give Yusaf the chance to sink the opposition at the final 4 overs or so.

Though the plan worked well for some time, the score board didnt tick much and the pressure got the better of the batsmen owing to which they lost regular wickets. Also people that its only because that MSD used 7 bowlers in first 10 overs that the batsmen couldn't possibly settle themselves down for a decent scoring on the board.

After the strategy break the royals lost Smith, following which Jadeja and Pathan took the responsibility to score something reasonable a total to defend for their bowlers. And while accelerating the run rate, they lost their wickets by the brilliance in catching, courtesy Raina and Oram, despite the team's frequent misjudgement in catches. After that there wasn't much of a show other than Warne himself to post a total of 140 runs on the board.

Now the chennai's turn to bat. Expectations high. And the drama was on when the team with the most formidable batting line up was thought of finishing the match within 15 overs or so struggled to score runs. With the pitch turning more slower as time passed by, made it difficult for the batsman to play strokes. While veteran batsman Hayden played his way through to pick the odd boundaries and singles , the other side he lost 2 partners within 6 overs. Well not the ideal start the super kings would have thought of having, that is until the partnership of Badrinath and Hayden clicked and was locked in to drag the game without losing wickets and at the same time keeping up to the scores so it doesnt move out of the hand reach.

Warne started his overs, trying to demoralize the team's pride with his leg spin making it harder for the batsman to play. Well the trick worked well with badrinath but hayden was no push over, so he started doing what he knows best.Demolish the bowling attack to send them in defensive modes. He scored more than 10 runs in the over of Warne's,including a trade mark, walk down strike.

And that over of warne's set the pace up for super kings and raced to the to run rate in Harwood's 2nd over where he was outplayed by badrinath's smart play and sensible strokes. From there the equation was run a ball. Warne brought himself to claim the wicket of Hayden, but then, he and badri seen to that they stood and done the damage. Chennai team finished the game with almost 2 overs pending, and Badrinath was adjudged the Man of the Match.

Symonds at present and in the past!!

Now here we look at the pics of Mr.Sensation of all times.Andrew Symonds, cricketing star of Australia and Deccan Chargers, now sporting the new hair style and look where he looks better from the previous one he sported up for the last couple of years... And he does seem to be in a good mood in the picture at the right than on the left.Feel free to write your opinions..

Rajasthan outsmarts the Royal Challengers

Captain versus Captain. Leg Spin versus Leg Spin. And goes the comparison if we take Shane warne and Anil kumble into consideration. Not much happened, went as expected for the challengers, but it did so for the Royals. The defending champions proved why the deserve to be on top four contenders for the semi-finals. And thats exactly what was carved out when royals decided to field first with the aid of luck in winning the toss with a fresh pitch which provided swing and bounce to the seamers.

The opening slot disappointed yet again for the challengers. There was not a single player who played that key anchor role to take responsibility for the team. And they even scored lesser than the ball count, with wickets tumbling out in all manner.

After that happening, one cannot expect anything else other than a royals win with lesser runs on the card with more balls to spare.. and so it ended well in the batting too with having nearly 4 overs to spare, royals winning by 7 wickets.

On the whole, yet another dismal performance of royal challengers, outsmarted by the royals in all departments of the game.

Super Kings the undisputed

The Tension was high with 2 strong batting line-ups eager to clash up with each other.Even better, its the clash of 2 brute forces the IPL can ever witness. With the odds ,of Chennai team winning over Punjab team on 3 occasions the previous season, was well in favour with MSD.Despite the nature of pitch, he was so convinced on his batting force led in front by Hayden, that he did not even hesitate for a moment that he choose to bat first.

And thus started the innings, where the chennai team's opening combination of hayden and badrinath not lasting as long as expected, with badri being caught on first ball from Irfan. That was the only time, Punjab was happy.. But then, reinforcements came in form of Raina, the star middle order batsman of chennai starting to score at the regular format the chennai team had fared so far. Later with the interruptions of rain forced the play to halt for sometime due to which the D\L method was used and shortened the 20 over game to 18 over game for each.

With the rain departing from the act, chennai started to fly high again only to see Raina get caught. In the mean time, hayden sneaked past the bowlers after surviving a stumping chance when Sangakarra missed the oppurtunity.Enter Captain Marvel, and the ruthless assault begins. Now, we know MSD was not at his best in this tournament, that is until he managed to regain his ownself in previous encounter. He was in such a stunning form that he was an unstoppable jaggernaut, joined forces with the immovable Hayden who punished the punjab bowling attack. The duo managed to stay almost the end the innings to post a total of 185 for the loss of 3 wickets when hayden fell short of his century by 11 runs in the penultimate over of the innings.

And now we start with the Punjab innings and the Chennai bowling's demoralization.Morkel gave the break through as usual for the super kings, with Sohal falling in the 2nd ball of the innings. After that, we had simon katich to take guard of the punjab's front attack playing pure cricket shots which was no luck or slog for that matter. The brilliance of the aussie batting should definitely be praised here cause such was the performance of hayden and katich that any cricket player would dream to come by some day.Katich reached his half century only to be taken out of the attack by Balaji, while Jakati the sensational spinner took the wicket of Goel. Thus far was the luck of the bowlers for both the teams... And then comes the trump card of Punjab team with jayawardene playing the partner roll.Yuvraj singh comes into play and there was no turning back from then, except when Gony missed the catch of the yuvi at 22. They added 60 runs from 4.5 balls and the target was brought down to 43 runs from 24 balls, when MSD decided to set the brakes in the innings of the agile punjab batting brilliance.Raina came in to give just 8 runs of his 2 overs while Balaji plotted up the slow balls mixing it up with yorkers. And the doors shut by with Punjab team chasing a mammoth total failing to impress the mounted target with an asking rate of 10+ an over.

Hayden was the doubtless choice for man of the match. He was all happy bout the team performance except for the fielding area. Not the first time that the team's flimsy catching were brought to the spot light. But then, they managed to pull it out at the right time, with 4 consecutive wins in hands after a disappointing start. Chennai team now stands on top of the stats both in points and runrate.

Chargers Triumphs to break losing streak

Now im not sure how much of an unstoppables the deccan chargers were after an array of losses, but it certainly went well for them on Wednesday. The Chargers beat the Mumbai Indians in a low scoring game. The toss won by Gilchrist and he decided to bat first. Despite the expectations of an explosive start, the chargers failed to do that for the fourth consecutive time with gibbs failing to make an impression. After that Gilchrist stayed on the crease batting unlike his real self, while the young lad summan took the attack on Mumbai Indians, who fell shortly after a brilliant bowling mix-ups of pace and bounce of Dwayne bravo.

With that in comes Rohit Sharma, to share the batting slot with partner and captain Gilchrist. However, the pair didnt last long(fell just before strategy break-gilly). Neither did the combination of Rohit and Smith worked like the other day with Chennai team. And so with contributions from Rao coming in the right time, the chargers managed to bring a defendable total of 145 runs on the scorecard.

And so comes the destructive duo in action with Mumbai all set to bat. Jayasuriya and Tendulkar... Now doesnt that sound rattling to any bowler? (Isnt it enough that u got a genius in sachin as such but u need a seige in jayasuriya to aid his cause?) Well that did'nt work today, like it most matches when the duo fell one after another in single figures. And then we had Duminy the star batsman who like always lived upto expectatAions.(No wonder there's so much hype bout this fellow.)ALong with the south african rising spectacle we had shah to chip in the scorecard's depth to a reasonable level. Now everything was ok until Suman came in to claim shah's wicket.

Now its not gonna make much of a difference when u think its just 3 down for half the total chased down.. But its a matter of concern when wickets get tumbling by.And so the pack of cards fell one by one, with Suman claiming yet another wicket of Bravo. After that it was the massacre all the way by the charger with a phenomenonal bowling from Rohit Sharma. He managed to complete a hat trick and made sure that the opposition was denied of any oppurtunity of scoring by removing Duminy. After that the hopes of winning were given up by Mumbai team was given up as the team fell short of 19 runs from the victory margin.

Chargers Flying high with Symmo's return

Things looked grave for the Deccan chargers with Fidel Edwards moving out of the IPL2 with 3 consecutive defeats with his departure. The hopes for changing back to good fortunes has been assured now with the return of All-rounder and star batsman of the chargers team, Andrew Symonds. Loads of responsibility happens to be rested upon those massive bull like shoulders of Symonds. And with the upcoming T20 world championship in england, IPL2 will sharpen his skills and show the world why he is one of the world's most feared batsman among the bowlers.
